Changing Fonts Using TTF on your phone

Tried and Tested on my N70me

If you can change fonts by using *.gdr fonts, (using any 3rd party file explorer,creating a new folder named "fonts" without quotes at C:\system path, pasting the gdr font there ie; C:\system\bluehigh.gdr then reboot) and the font of your phone will change, this method will also work on you.

What is TTF?
TTF means true type fonts.

In this method we are going to use ttf font files. You can get them on your pc by opening search and typing "*.ttf" (without quotes), or going to c:\ drive and finding the fonts folder. Other way is by downloading on the net, google will help you by typing "free ttf fonts download" as search query.

In using ttf fonts we can get the most of our personal touch to our mobile. We can costumized the size, etc.(ill explain later). And use combination of 2 or more fonts depending on our preference.

What do we need?

Ok, now you have the TTF files you like, youll now need to have the fount router. And transfer these on your mobile phone.

What is Font Router

Acts as Router for the ttf font to run and work on your symbian device.

Download FontRouter.zip (61.12kb) and extract the three files on your phone's C:\system\fonts path folder, if the path doesnt exists, create it.xD
It is advisable that you have installed X-plore coz it can extract archives and serve as a text editor.
Also place the TTF file on the same directory. (C:\system\fonts\)
Open the file fontrouter.ini and edit it via X-plore by pressing keypad (8).
You can see something like this:

[Global]
Enable=1

LogLevel=4
ForceAntiAliased=4
